Garden of the Resurrection
Blessing

Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J., Archbishop of Ottawa, blessed the new Garden of the Resurrection at Hope Cemetery on September 18. The solemn blessing was part of the cemetery’s annual ceremony.

This garden has five full granite structures and is decorated with a bronze statue of the Angel announcing the Resurrection of Christ. The complex holds 328 niches that can each accommodate two urns. To honor the memory of the deceased, a choice of bronze plaque may be installed on the surface of each niche.  This new project is part of the expansion project at Hope Cemetery.
